FinPro Professional Development Day 29 May 2014 Darebin Arts & Entertainment Centre

May 29, 2014

A full house attended the FinPro Seminar last Thursday, 29 May at the Darebin Arts & Entertainment Centre in Preston.

The new venue used by FinPro was large and inviting and offered plenty of car parking and easy access via various modes of transport.

A full agenda for the day with topics such as the Year End Audit, the new Financial Reporting Framework and Service Planning filled the morning session, ending with a panel of experienced financial practitioners sharing their experiences with implementing the new framework – many thanks to Jude, Ruth and Daryl for taking up the offer to share your thoughts.

The afternoon sessions were of a ”less technical” note but certainly gave delegates plenty of food for thought. Bruce Dobson shared some insights he was learnt as her has progressed his career from a Graduate Accountant working in the private sector to now working as the Director Infrastructure at Boroondara City Council.

The day ended with Trav Bell insighting everyone to ”achieve beyond work” and create and make happen their own ”bucket list”. An inspiring way to finish off the day.

Thanks to all attendees.
