  Maribyrnong City Council have an opportunity within the Finance Department for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the Management Accounting team. Reporting to the Coordinator Management Accounting, you will support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, management reports and general ledger journals, while helping administer the BIS budget system and other financial registers and processes.

  In this role, you will provide practical guidance and support to service managers on commitment management, budget variance analysis, commentary and forecasting. You will also assist with system administration, reporting templates, work order structures and continuous improvement activities across management accounting processes. The ideal candidate will be accurate, curious and collaborative, with strong attention to detail and the ability to build trusted working relationships across Council.
