  • Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the role of Unit Manager Procurement is a key member of the finance leadership team and has the opportunity to bring a fresh, contemporary and strategic approach to Moreland’s procurement function.

    Key to your success will be your ability to effectively engage with and to form collaborative relationships across the whole organisation and to provide support as a true business partner to optimise total supply chain processes and costs. You will adopt a continuous improvement lens to identify and implement fluid, streamlined and contemporary procurement.

    Concurrently, you will provide strategic leadership to a commercial and technically focused team who oversee sourcing management and planning; category management and support; procurement analytics and reporting; supplier enablement and relationship management; and purchasing enablement, ensuring a positive culture of high performance is maintained.

With Procurement expertise, you are a strategic leader who demonstrates a can-do attitude which is infectious and assists you in cultivating high performing teams with positive cultures. You are adept at forming credible and collaborative relationships with your key stakeholders and you pride yourself on your contemporary thinking and ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities which you have seen result in efficiency gains in past roles. While beneficial, you don’t require Local Government experience to be successful in this role however some understanding of the political and community environments that it serves will be held in high regard.
