• Colac Otway Shire is looking for a Revenue Coordinator for a temporary full time position for 10 months until 31 October 2023, package $88,300 – $97,934 per annum plus super.

  In this position you will be responsible for all duties of the Revenue department (ie: Rates & Accounts Receivable) are performed in accordance with Council policies, procedures and statutory requirements, ensuring Council’s rate revenue is levied and collected through the management of rating, valuation and debt collection processes.

  As a senior member of the business unit, you will assist the Manager Financial Services in creating and sustaining a dynamic Finance team, providing guidance and support to departmental staff and other Shire employees as appropriate. You will also contribute to development and implementation of the business unit’s goals, objectives and business planning activities.

  To be successful in this position you ideally will require a degree in accounting, commerce, business or a related discipline with demonstrated experience in a senior rating, revenue or accounting role. You will also require exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to develop reports (financial and non-financial), with particular emphasis in the areas of consultation, advocacy, negotiation, conflict resolution and assertiveness.

  The position can be either part time or full time depending on your preference and is based in Colac office. Flexible work options are also available.
