Finpro, Local Government Finance Professionals, Local Government Accounting

Local Government Finance Professionals (FinPro) is the peak body serving Local Government Finance Professionals in Victoria.

The Incorporated Association, FinPro has 290 members representing over 90% of Victorian Local Government Councils , 5 regional library corporations and over twenty other organisations. It is affiliated with CPA Australia and has representation on the Public Sector Committee of CPA Australia.

FinPro is managed by an Executive of up to 15 members who are elected annually at the Associations Annual General Meeting.

Our Charter

• To upgrade the standards of accounting and financial management in Local Government by providing low cost, high quality education and training.
• To create an awareness and promote the image of Local Government accountants and financial administrators.
• To represent the members in policy making forums, and
• To provide a networking forum to allow industry wide efficiencies to be rapidly taken up across the state.

Local Government Finance Professionals is fully funded by membership fees plus attendance fees at the regular professional development seminars it runs. Annually, Local Government Finance Professionals conducts no less than 2 one-day seminars, an Annual Conference and distributes a regular newsletter to members.
